Academic advising begins with each student’s first interaction with Virginia Business College and it is an ongoing process until students graduate. Our goal is to enroll and accept students with a desire to:
- earn a business degree;
- be successful in all aspects of college; and
- find a job that matches their interests and potential.
Upon completion of the admission’s application, an academic advisor will be assigned to you, keeping you informed, every step. Meetings with an advisor are confidential and are designed to provide students with the information needed for a successful academic career. Advisor’s assist students with academic planning, course scheduling, internship planning, advising resources, and remain connected with students from application (onboarding) through graduation.
Students may schedule an advisor meeting during office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Meeting times may also be scheduled outside of these hours when needed.

You may contact advisors, including faculty advisors, with specific inquiries via email if needed. To receive the best service, include your full legal name along with your student ID number.
Face Time
Schedule a Face Time appointment with advisors through the online scheduling system. For these appointments, be sure to use a wired internet connection (not wireless) and send the advisor a contact request before your meeting time.
